Week 4- Is your hiking causing back pain?
Back pain… it’s one of the most common things my clients came to me for over the years!
There are many different things that can cause back pain but when it comes to hiking the main culprit is a tight back chain. What does that mean? Let me break it down for you! When you hiking (or even just stand/sit upright for extended periods of time) the whole back side of your body engages to keep you upright. Now, as I talked about in earlier videos, we want these muscles to be active and strong but when they get too tight they start to pull on our low back in ways that are super unpleasant. In this video I break down an easy stretch you can do to help reduce back pain from hiking and some pointers for ways you can stay pain free!
