Week 3- Do your knees hurt when you hike?
For me it’s the downhill part of hiking that puts the most wear and tear on my knees!
Can you relate? I think a lot of people think the uphill part is the hardest part on the body but in reality the downhill part can put the most strain on our joints- especially our knees! I have found that, even though there’s a lot of different reasons for knee pain, the most common hiking related knee pain comes from a tight quad/hip flexor region pulling up on the knee cap. In this video I show you a quick stretch you can do in the moment to relieve some of that tension and have happier knees while hiking!
