Week 10- Rest + Restore
Sometimes what you need to get stronger is intentional rest and restoration! It is said that 20 mins of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as 2hrs of sleep because of ability to quickly drop you into slower, more restorative brain waves. I have personally found that adding in a yoga nidra practice on a regular basis has given me more energy to hiker further and spend more time doing the activities I love so much. Enjoy this practice!
How to practice:
Lie comfortably on your back in a supported position, arms along your side (but slightly away from the body) with your palms face up if possible. Extend your legs out long and separate your feet a little wider than your hips (just like the shavasana position if you are familiar). If you tend towards low back pain put a pillow under your knees and it’s always nice to have some (very light) padding under the head.
