Before I found hiking and climbing I used to live for the winters. Snowboarding was basically my whole life and I would literally just watch snowboard movies all summer to help pass the time until this time of year would come along.
I’m so glad I found some other passions to round out my year but getting out on the slopes will always hold a special place in my heart. It makes me feel a bit old to say this but I’ve now been snowboarding for nearly 18 years and what’s so cool is that thinking back that long I remember that one of my first base layer sets was from Hot Chillys!
For the rest of the season you will likely only be seeing that layers I throw over my base layers but, underneath, I’ll be wearing my Hot Chillys Micro-Elite Chamois 8K Solid Tight from Zappos. These pants are moisture wicking and interwoven with soft, non-abrasive Bio-Silver® yarns with permanent, silver-based antimicrobial properties to reduce the impact of odor causing bacteria. They also happen to be super warm and cozy!
As we head into December (which usually ends up being the coldest month here in Aspen) I am stoked to know I have my base (layers) covered. Pun intended. Any other Hot Chillys fans out there?
